Miyu Shinohara (篠原 深雪 Shinohara Miyu) is a major character introduced in Corpseparty; Musume, a student of Kisargi Academy Senior High School's classroom 2-9 and a victim of Heavenly Host.
Design
Miyu has medium length orange hair mostly worn down with two, small pigtails tied with pink ribbon and straight cut bangs at eye length. Her eyes are dark brown.
She wears the standard Kisaragi Academy Senior High female uniform consisting of a tan colored sailor outfit with a blue collar light blue cuffs yellow ribbon held by a blue brooch, blue skirt, black knee-high socks and white uwabaki slippers with blue stripes near the soles.
Personality
Miyu is very good in sports and is popular among both girls and boys at her school. She has a crush on Satoshi Mochida, and often suggestively teases him, although she later insists these are only jokes. She also is really kind towards Yuka Mochida.

Miyu and Yuka are separated from the rest of the group when they are whisked away to Heavenly Host. They take refuge in the infirmary, but Miyu becomes the group's first victim when her ankle is snipped by an unseen assailant hiding under the bed. She dies trying to defend Yuka from some snake-like creatures, in which she is decapitated.
After Satoshi and Naomi find Yuka in the infirmary, with the latter holding Miyu's head, Miyu's spirit appears and tries to confess her love to Satoshi, but the latter can't hear her.
Miyu's spirit later reappears in front of Satoshi and Yuka after the latter used the piano and summoned the school's trapped spirit. She leads Satoshi to Naomi Nakashima, although the latter is just an illusion from Sachiko Shinozaki. She makes her last appearance as the group attempts to escape the school and helps Sachiko contain the vengeful spirits pursuing her friends.

Etymology
- The name Miyu means "deep" (深) (mi) and "snow" (雪) (yu).
- Miyu's surname Shinohara means "dwarf bamboo" (篠) (shino) and "field, plain" (原) (hara).
Trivia
- Despite sharing the same last name, there is no known connection between this character and Seiko Shinohara. Neither ever appear in the same medium.
- The only similarities the two characters have are their LGBT statuses (Seiko is a lesbian, and Miyu is transgender) and the fact that they are both the first to die in their respective media (Seiko in the games, Miyu in Musume).
- Miyu is likely a nod to Seiko's character as the former appears only in the manga based on CORPSE-PARTY (PC-98) in which the latter didn't appear.
- Satoshi and Miyu became closer after she was being picked on by a group of other students, in which she hides away in the gym equipment room to be alone. Satoshi runs in and asks what they said to her, also adding before that he was worried about her. She tears up, throwing her arms around him as he stumbles back, clearly flustered with her actions.
- Miyu is the only known character in the manga series to be Transgender/Gender non-conforming.
