The Encyclopedia Obscura (コープスパーティー辞典 Kōpusupātī jiten?, lit. "Corpse Party Dictionary") also known as Basic Knowledge in the Japanese version of Corpse Party: Blood Drive is a list of items, organizations, characters and other terms with their descriptions and is there to educate the player more on the universe. To unlock this tab, player must have completed Chapter 00.

The list shows the name, description and the way to unlock it. Unlocking every entry will give you the Wisdom (叡智 Eichi?) Trophy.

Argus Cube (アーガスキューブ Āgasukyūbu?) An item that acts as a transceiver connecting the real world and the "Everafter." It can also be used within the Ever-after to locate the Pillars of the Six Demons. The Pillars have a unique aura to them, so when the stone gets within a certain distance of one, it will begin to glow. Obtaining the true ending of Chapter 06.
Strawberry Milk Bun (いちごミルク蒸しパン Ichigo Miruku Mushi Pan?) One's of Ayumi's favorite food item. Magari left one in Heavenly Host specifically to support Ayumi in her many travels -- though of course, Ayumi doesn't know that. Obtaining the true ending of Chapter 04.
Calavera Necklace (カラベラネックレス Karabera Nekkuresu?, lit. Skull Necklace) A doll that the Kisaragi students and their friends made for Sachiko in another timeline. Sadly, no one remembers doing this... including Sachiko, who's simply held onto it without actually knowing why. Its shape is authentic is the Mexican "calavera" style often seen on Dia de Muertos -- the Day of the Dead. Obtaining the ending of Chapter 07.
Grimoire (黒の本 Kuro no Hon?) Generally refers to the Book of Shadows. Obtaining the ending of Chapter 00.
Cell Phone (携帯電話 Keitai Denwa?) By using the Argus Cube as a transceiver, it's possible to connect phone calls between the real world and Heavenly Host. Obtaining the true ending of Chapter 04.
Sachiko's Family Photo (サチコの家族写真 Sachiko no Kazoku Shashin?) An old family photo of Yoshie Shinozaki that Ayumi and Naomi find at the Shinozaki estate. As a way to protect Sachiko's father from the destiny that awaits all Shinozaki men, Yoshie intentionally scratches his face from this photograph, thinking it might be enough to trick the spirits into believing he no longer exists. Obtaining the ending of Chapter 07.
Everafter Stones (死遭わせの石 Shi Awase no Ishi?, lit. Stones of Encountering Death) Another method of ingress to and egress from the Nirvana. Originally fashioned by Makina Shinozaki in an effort to stop Yoshie Shinozaki's ill-advised use of magic. Obtaining the true ending of Chapter 01.
Book of Shadows (ブック・オブ・シャドウズ Bukku obu Shadōzu?) The culmination of all the wisdom and knowledge of the witches. Contains a laundry list of spells, including numerous examples of forbidden, dark magic. The Witch Queen's powers are sealed within as well, and the book itself seems to have a mind of its own. Obtaining the true ending of Chapter 08.
Spirit Items (霊具 Reigu?) When someone dies, that person's will is said to possess his or her favorite object. Supposedly, one who bears such an item the voice of the departed from within it. Obtaining the true ending of Chapter 01.
Candle (ロウソク Rōsoku?) Ayumi's famous "scary-time candles" are kept on her person at all times. These function as save and healing points during one's trek through the Nirvana and beyond. Obtaining the ending of Chapter 00.

W.I. Short for "Wicca Institute." An association dedicated to the worship of spirits, which Hinoe was a part of. Their goal is to commune with spirits and live as one with nature. Obtaining the ending of Chapter 00.
PL Promotions Co., Inc (PL振興社 PL Shinkō-Sha?) The PL is short for "Perfect Life." Headed by Kuon, this ubiquitous company sells protective charms at rock-bottom prices. Attains massive success as the world deteriorates. Obtaining the true ending of Chapter 02.
Martuba's Tomb (マルトゥバの墓 Marutuba no haka?) One of the several organizations created by Western witches who escaped the witch hunts. A secret, quasi-religious society of black mages who have no qualms about violating basic human rights or breaking the law if it suits their ends. Presently, they seek to recover the Book of Shadows, which was stolen from them long ago. Obtaining the ending of Exchap 02.
Yagoura Society (御秡如協会 Yagourā Kyōkai?) A group of magic practitioners founded by Misuto's grand-father. With the Martubas focused on black magic, the Yagoura seeks to counterbalance them through charitable work. Branded heretics, however, they're systematically eliminated, with their last remaining allies taken out by Magari. The only surviving member is Misuto. Obtaining the ending of Chapter 08.

Entity Wall (エンティティ・ウォール Entiti.Wōru?) A physical manifestation of the Nirvana's near-limitless power. Creates all manner of catastrophes in the real world simply through its existence. Obtaining the true ending of Chapter 06.
The Darkening (黒化 Kokuka?) Gradually consumes one's sanity, turns the body into dark mist and ultimately kills. Its effect can differ, however, when a person with high spiritual affinity falls prey. Obtaining the true ending of Chapter 02.
Sachiko Ever After (幸せのサチコさん Shiawase no Sachiko-san?, lit. "Sachiko of Happiness") A charm that supposedly links those who perform it in an eternal bond of friendship... according to a blog post, anyway, which proves quite popular with girls in the middle and high school. In actuality, it's a dark magic ritual called "Sachiko in the Everafter." created by Yoshie Shinozaki to visit the Land of Corpses. It's later co-opted by Naho. Obtaining the ending of Chapter 00.
Blowback (障害反動 Shōgai Handō?) "Eye for an eye" punishment befalling all who make use of forbidden magic. Higher-level spells produce more extreme blowback. Obtaining the true ending of Chapter 01.
Seventh Pillar (七番目の柱 Nana-Banme no Hashira?) The "Sephirot of Knowledge." Possesses enough energy to fuse the real world and the Nirvana, and can even grant whosoever controls it total reign over the entire free world. Obtaining the true ending of Chapter 06.
Vanishing Twin (バニシング・ツイン Banishingu Tsuin?) The intrauterine death of one fetus among twins. In Sachi's case, Sachiko's spiritual energy was so massive that it consumed her older sister -- but Sachi "bit back." so to speak, leaving two baby teeth embedded in Sachiko's body. Obtaining the true ending of Chapter 09.
Fact Loop (ファクト・ループ Fakuto Rūpu?) A spell the former master of Heavenly Host, Sachiko, can use. Allows her to revert time -- even if the same fate cannot be avoided, the road taken to get there may differ. Obtaining the ending of Chapter 07.
Pool (プール Pūru?) Last time, a spirit possessed Ayumi and tried to drown her in the pool. Since she couldn't swim. Yoshiki had to come to her rescue. Since then, she's taken swimming lessons. Obtaining the true ending of Chapter 04.
Demon (魔物 Mamono?) An evil entity from the Everafter, be it god or mortal. Demons were summoned into the Nirvana through the black magic experimentation of the Martubas witin Heavenly Host. Obtaining the ending of Chapter 08.
Raising of Corpses (ライズ・オブ・コープス Raizu Obu Kōpusu?) The proper term of the spell of resurrection from the Book of Shadows. Supposedly able to bring back the dead, but... can it really? And if so, at what cost? Obtaining the true ending of Chapter 01.
Land of Corpses (ランド・オブ・コープス Rando Obu Kōpusu?) The proper term for the spell to create the Nirvana. It makes reals a location that defies reality, manifesting a dimension where the dead and the living can coexist. Obtaining the true ending of Chapter 01.
Pillars of the Six Demons (六鬼門の柱 Roku Kimon no Hashira?) Objects which separate the Nirvana from the real world. If these Pillars should all be released, the seventh will rise and the boundary between the two dimensions will break down. Obtaining the true ending of Chapter 06.

Kisaragi Academy (如月学園 Kisaragi Gakuen?, lit. "February Academy") An enormous academy that covers both middle and high school. Built on the former site of Heavenly Host, with stories of the old elementary school still being retold to this day. Obtaining the ending of Chapter 00.
Shimorenjaku South Apartments (下連雀南団地 Shimorenjaku Minamidanchi?) The apartment building where Makina Shinozaki lived. Currently sits in a state of extreme disrepair. Obtaining the ending of Chapter 00.
Closed Spaces (多重閉鎖空間 Tajū Heisa Kūkan?) A phenomenon created by accident in the Nirvana. Those who are trapped in Heavenly Host may occupy the same space but in different dimensions, doomed to never meet. Obtaining the true ending of Chapter 01.
Heavenly Host Elementary School (天神小学校 Tenjin Shōgakkō?, lit. "Heavenly Gods Elementary School") A private elementary school established by Takamine Yanagihori. Though popular at the time of it's opening, it's torn down after numerous incidents lead to its closure. Following Sachiko's death, however, the Nirvana escapes her body and recreates the school -- and the sheer spiritual power present within Sachiko affords her total control over it. Obtaining the true ending of Chapter 01.
Nirvana (涅槃空間 Nehan Kūkan?) A plane that lies between the real world and the Everafter. It's said that the dead and the living can coexist here. When a living person dies in the Nirvana, his or her soul will relive that death on loop for all eternity. Obtaining the true ending of Chapter 01.

Haruyuki Inumaru (犬丸 晴行 Inumaru Haruyuki?) Sayaka's childhood friend and devotee. Naho and Sayaka are his classmates at Paulownia Academy High School. He goes with Aiko to Heavenly Host in order to search for his dear Sayaka, who's been missing for quite some time now. As he comes from a long line of Shinto priests, he has fairly strong spiritual sensibilities. Obtaining the true ending of Chapter 02.
Emi Urabe (卜部 恵美 Urabe Emi?) A sophomore at Byakudan Senior High School, and a close friend to Mitsuki and Tohko. She's quiet, but had a burning passion deep down, and never hesitates to defend herself. Obtaining the ending of Exchap 03.
Sayaka Ooue (大上 さやか Ōue Sayaka?) Works as a talent in modeling and in radio, and is best friends with Naho. Naho only ever shows her true colors to Sayaka, and Sayaka seems to be the only person she implicitly trusts. Because of this, when Naho goes to Heavenly Host in order to rescue Mr. Kibiki, Sayaka is more than willing to tag along. Obtaining the ending of Exchap 04.
Tomohiro Ohkawa (大川 智寛 Ōkawa Tomohiro?) A sophomore at Byakudan Senior High School. Physically weak and more inclined to stay indoors, he's a very close friend to Katayama, often gaming together with him. Obtaining the ending of Exchap 03.
Ryosuke Katayama (片山 良介 Katayama Ryōsuke?) A sophomore at Byakudan Senior High. Gaming buddies with Ohkawa and a big dating sim fanatic. Also friends with Fukuroi, often hanging out with him in the student council room. Obtaining the ending of Exchap 03.
Yuki Kanno (管乃 雪 Kanno Yuki?) One of the victims from Heavenly Host's infamous kidnapping and murder case. Was a fifth grader at the time of her death, killed when Sachiko brutally pulverized her left eye. Helps Ayumi and the others release Sachiko from the school. Her eye was probably pulverized because that's one of the things the principal did to Sachiko's body many years ago. Obtaining the true ending of Chapter 01.
Yuuya Kizami (刻命 裕也 Kizami Yūya?) A sophomore at Byakudan Senior High. Had had social interaction issues and general difficulty understanding pain and emotion since he was young, alienating him from his peers. Generally just puts on a show for others, pretensing to get along with them, but cannot abide Shimada's behavior. Has always wanted to be a big brother, if only for the power... Obtaining the ending of Exchap 03.
Miki Kishinuma (岸沼 美樹 Kishinuma Miki?) Yoshiki's younger sister. Due to Yoshiki's falling out with his parents, Miki visits him from time to time, keeping his apartment clean and teaching him basic life skills. She's also the one responsible for the decor in his apartment, which is why his bed covers are pink. Her favorite food is soft serve ice-cream. Obtaining the true ending of Chapter 01.
Yoshiki Kishinuma (岸沼 良樹 Kishinuma Yoshiki?) Has a cynical and somewhat rebellious personality, making it easy for people to misunderstand his intentions. Deep down, however, he's honest, trustworthy and reliable. Has feelings for Ayumi, and will go to any lengths to protect her from harm. His best laid plans tend to backfire, though, pushing him two steps back for every one step forward. Obtaining the ending of Chapter 00.
Kou Kibiki (鬼碑忌 コウ Kibiki Kō?) An occult novelist, reporter and mentor to Naho. Travels to Heavenly Host with his cameraman, Taguchi, on Naho's intel, but is sadly killed there by the pursuant Naho herself. Obtaining the ending of Exchap 04.
Tohko Kirisaki (霧崎 凍孤 Kirisaki Tōko?) A sophomore at Byakudan Senior High School. Close friends with Mitsuki and Emi, and a general fan of fortune-telling and the supernatural. Has romantic interest in Kizami. Obtaining the ending of Exchap 03.
Misuto Kiriya (桐谷 御簾徒 Kiriya Misuto?) The sole surviving member of the Yagoura Society. Lost his grandfather and both his parents when they were persecuted from practicing dark magic, creating within him an intense hatred for the world and its people. Seeks the Book of Shadows that his grandfather gave to the Shinozaki family, intent on using it to cleanse the world that wronged him. Obtaining the ending of Chapter 08.
Queen (クィーン Kuīn?) The core of the Nirvana. Sometimes known as the Witch Queen, she was the leader of the European witches who were killed during the witch hunts in the middle ages. Had been sleeping within the codex of the witches' wisdom, the Book of Shadows, but was awoken when Yoshie Shinozaki cast the Land of Corpses spell, forging her into the core of the Nirvana. Sachiko consumed the Nirvana, but was then murdered by Principal Takamine Yanagihori, which freed it from her body and gave the Witch Queen life once more. Obtaining the true ending of Chapter 10.
Kensuke Kurosaki (黒崎 健介 Kurosaki Kensuke?) A sophomore at Byakudan Senior High. Has a friendly personality and is generally liked by all. Spends most of his time in the student council room and has a thing for Mitsuki. Obtaining the ending of Exchap 03.
Ran Kobayashi (古林 蘭 Kobayashi Ran?) A sophomore at St. Cruz High. Comes to Heavenly Host with her "wife." Azusa. After getting into an argument, the two become separated and are never heard from again. Obtaining the true ending of Chapter 05.
Naho Saenoki (冴之木 七星 Saenoki Naho?) In a twisted bid to help her mentor (and crush), Kou Kibiki, Naho spreads the "Sachiko in the Everafter" charm across the internet. Though not a bad person deep down, her feelings for Mr. Kibiki cause her to make terrible decisions, including one that ultimately gets herself, her friend Sayaka and even Mr. Kibiki killed. Obtaining the ending of Exchap 04.
Yui Shishido (宍戸 結衣 Shishido Yui?) T.A. for Kisaragi Academy High School class 2-9. Kind and beloved by her students, she loses her life in Heavenly Host and is erased from existence. Ms. Kuon fills her role now. Obtaining the ending of Chapter 00.
Ayumi Shinozaki (篠崎 あゆみ Shinozaki Ayumi?) Her high spiritual sensitivity stems from her lineage, renowned for it's psychic powers... as well as its curse. Ayumi feels responsible for the loss of her friends, having been the one to suggest performing the Sachiko Ever After ritual originally -- and she'll so whatever it takes to atone for that sin, even at the cost of her own existence. Obtaining the ending of Chapter 00.
Sachi Shinozaki (篠崎 さち Shinozaki Sachi?) Sachiko's "vanishing twin" who died in Yoshie's womb. Her body was absorbed by Sachiko, but two of her teeth remained and had to be surgically removed. Obtaining the true ending of Chapter 09.
Sachiko Shinozaki (篠崎 サチコ Shinozaki Sachiko?) A child who swallowed the Nirvana, proving her spiritual abilities stronger than anyone else's in the Shinozaki family. Is released from the curse by Satoshi and company. Obtaining the ending of Chapter 07.
Seiji Shinozaki (篠崎 誠二 Shinozaki Seiji?) Sachiko's father. Like other Shinozaki men, he was adopted into the family, but succumbed to their curse and died at a young age. Obtaining the true ending of Chapter 01.
Hinoe Shinozaki (篠崎 ひのえ Shinozaki Hinoe?) Ayumi's sister and a member of the W.I. Dies to save Ayumi in the basement of the Shinozaki estate. Misuto considers her a mentor, but their relationship may run deeper. Obtaining the true ending of Chapter 01.
Makina Shinozaki (篠崎 護月 Shinozaki Makina?) Yoshie's aunt. Tried to stop Yoshie from creating the Nirvana, but had gotten along well with her until then. Holds on to Sachi's teeth after they're extracted from Sachiko. Obtaining the true ending of Chapter 09.
Yoshie Shinozaki (篠崎 ヨシヱ Shinozaki Yoshie?) Sachiko's mother. Her husband, Seiji, dies from the Shinozaki curse, so she creates the Nirvana and tries to relocate there -- to be with him forever. Problems arise, however, and Sachiko winds up swallowing the Nirvana. Regretting her actions, Yoshie chooses to live out her days with Sachiko... only for both of them to be killed by Principal Yanagihori. Obtaining the ending of Chapter 07.
Seiko Shinohara (篠原 世以子 Shinohara Seiko?) Killed in Heavenly Host by Naomi, under Sachiko's influence. Even in death, however, she still worries about her beloved Naomi and does whatever she can to protect her. Obtaining the ending of Chapter 00.
Kai Shimada (島田 快 Shimada Kai?) A sophomore at Byakudan Senior High. Has a deep love for and is deeply loved by girls, though his abrasive personality makes him hard to deal with. Regards Kizami as a rival. Obtaining the ending of Exchap 03.
Anatomical Model (人体模型 Jindaimokei?) The remains of someone skinned by Sachiko, acting purely on impulse in accordance to his true nature. After Sachiko's ousting, he acts on behalf of a Darkening-stricken Azusa. Obtaining the true ending of Chapter 05.
Mayu Suzumoto (鈴本 繭 Suzumoto Mayu?) Brutally killed by the ghost children of Heavenly Host. In life, she was part of the theater club at Kisaragi Academy. has always been extremely fond of Morishige. Obtaining the ending of Chapter 00.
Mio Yuzuki (柚木 美桜 Yuzuki Mio?) A freshman at Paulownia Academy High School. Looks up to Naho and Sayaka and has been worried sick ever since the two of them disappeared. Obtaining the true ending of Chapter 04.
Azusa Takai (高井 梓紗 Takai Azusa?) A sophomore at St. Cruz High School. Goes to Heavenly Host with Ran and her friends, but succumbs to the Darkening. Due to the hidden power she holds within her, she operates under the banner of Martuba's Tomb, bearing it's secondary right of succession. Obtaining the true ending of Chapter 05.
Shougo Taguchi (田久地 将五 Taguchi Shōgo?) A cameraman who assists Kou Kibiki in his research. Accompanies him to Heavenly Host and captured various horrors on camera, including raw footage of Seiko's death. Obtaining the ending of Exchap 04.
Tokiko Tsuji (辻 時子 Tsuji Tokiko?) One of the victims from Heavenly Host's infamous kidnapping and murder case. Was a first grader at the time of her death, killed when Sachiko lopped off her head at the jaw. Murders trespassers indiscriminately, but is freed from the curse by Ayumi and Yoshiki. Likely had her tongue removed because the same had been done to Sachiko's body. Obtaining the true ending of Chapter 01.
Naomi Nakashima (中嶋 直美 Nakashima Naomi?) Loses her best friend, Seiko, at Heavenly Host, and now fears that Seiko's memory is beginning to fade from her mind as well. Obtaining the ending of Chapter 00.
Aiko Niwa (丹羽 亜衣子 Niwa Aiko?) A senior at Paulownia. Works as a spiritual intelligence agent, and is responsible for introducing Naho to Heavenly Host, for which she secretly harbors tremendous guilt. Obtaining the true ending of Chapter 02.
Kuon Niwa (丹羽 玖遠 Niwa Kuon?) President of PL Promotions Co., Inc. and Aiko's older sister. Moonlights as a teacher, which has always been a dream of hers. Takes up the mantle of class 2-9's T.A. in this alternate reality where Ms. Yui doesn't exist. A gifted prodigy in virtually all subjects, she has a habit of an inflated ego, but cares for her sister above all else. Obtaining the true ending of Chapter 09.
Masato Fukuroi (袋井 雅人 Fukuroi Masato?) A sophomore at Byakudan Senior High. Student council president and best friends with Kurosaki, having rescued him from bullies a while back. Has feelings for Mitsuki. Obtaining the ending of Exchap 03.
Satsuki Mizuhara (水原 さつき Mizuhara Satsuki?) A sophomore at Kisaragi Middle School. Has a bright, cheery personality and a deep affection toward Yuka. Also perpetually hungry, with bags of potato chips on her at all times. Obtaining the true ending of Chapter 04.
Magari Mizuki (十三月 愛狩 Midzuki Magari?) An elite member of Martuba's Tomb, fourth in line to succeed the organization. Was abandoned at their church at birth and found by their butler. Waldo Mizuki. Transferred to Paulownia to learn more about Naho. Pretends to have a sociable personality, but is actually quite belligerent. Presently pursuing the Book of Shadows, stolen by the Yagoura. Obtaining the ending of Exchap 02.
Satoshi Mochida (持田 哲志 Mochida Satoshi?) Cowardly but kind and serves as a natural-born leader due to his strong sense of responsibility. Makes friends very easily and is generally loved by all his classmates. Obtaining the ending of Chapter 00.
Yuka Mochida (持田 由香 Mochida Yuka?) A sophomore at Kisaragi Middle School with a crush on her brother, Satoshi. Close friends with Satsuki, and of one the few survivors of the previous Heavenly Host incident. Obtaining the ending of Chapter 00.
Sakutaro Morishige (森繁 朔太郎 Morishige Sakutarō?) Searches endlessly through Heavenly Host for his beloved Mayu. After learning that he's found her remains, he loses his mind and jumps out a window. No one has seen him since. Obtaining the ending of Chapter 00.
Takamine Yanagihori (柳堀 隆峰 Yanagihori Takamine?) The principal of Heavenly Host Elementary and the root cause of everything that's happened. The murders he commit are the catalysts that set the chain of curses in motion Obtaining the ending of Chapter 00.
Yoshikazu Yanagihori (柳堀 ヨシカズ Yanagihori Yoshikazu?) Principal Yanagihori's son. Taught at Heavenly Host, but after contracting an unknown disease, he became unable to speak and suffered mental regression. He took the blame for the infamous kidnappings and murders, but was actually being manipulated by Sachiko. His guilty conscience ultimately led him to suicide, but he still serves Sachiko even in death. Obtaining the ending of Chapter 00.
Hajime Yamazaki (山崎 一 Yamazaki Hajime?) Kisaragi High class 2-9's assigned teacher. Was already teaching even when Ms. Yui attended high school here, and is generally every popular along the student body. Obtaining the ending of Chapter 00.
Mirai Yamamura (山村 魅来 Yamamura Mirai?) A woman who was with Hinoe at the W.I. Gives Ayumi hope that she can save her lost friends, but it turns out Magari Mizuki is just using her on the Martubas' behalf. Obtaining the ending of Chapter 00.
Mitsuki Yamamoto (山本 美月 Yamamoto Mitsuki?) A sophomore at Byakudan Senior High. Secretary for the student council. Has a strong character and is very mature for her age. Can be stubborn at times, but always means well. Obtaining the ending of Exchap 03.
Ryou Yoshizawa (吉沢 遼 Yoshizawa Ryō?) One of the victims from Heavenly Host's infamous kidnapping and murder case. Was a third grader at the time of his death, killed when Sachiko hollowed out his stomach. Murders trespassers indiscriminately, but is freed from the curse by Ayumi and Yoshiki. Was likely stabbed repeatedly because the same had been done to Sachiko's body. Obtaining the ending of Chapter 00.
